Habitat’s Home Preservation and Repair program is an extension of our mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. It helps families maintain and stay in their homes, and contributes to neighborhood stabilization and revitalization.
Home Preservation and Repair focuses only on the outside of each home, with our areas of work being different for each homeowner and their home's specific needs. Included areas could be minor non-structural repairs to the outside of the home, yard cleanup, exterior painting of trim, gates, fence, etc., minor weatherization, minor fence and gate repair (wood), installation of exterior access ramps and handrails, storm doors and screens, exterior stair repair, and tree trimming (up to seven feet above the ground).
